Best Time of Year

It's almost October, y'all, and that begins my favorite quarter of the entire year! Why? Because of all the birthdays, holidays, and constant mingling with friends and coworkers that you forgot even existed. There are so many gifts to be given and gifts to be received, a girl can't help but to get excited about these upcoming months. Not only is it a great time of year, it is also a new amazing start to mine and Paul's (boyfriend) life. You see, we've purchased our first house! Can you imagine all of the Pinteresting and Googling going on right now?

So here's why I've decided to begin a blog:

1. I have a passion for great food and eating out in Houston! I love my city and I love sharing my thoughts on food and great finds.
2. I cook... often! I'll be sharing recipes and great dinners that I've made when I can. 
3. I want to share the process of a first time home owner with you all. What do I have to fix? What do I need to make? How can I make this better? Why does this cost so much money?! Etc Etc. 
4. Graduate school is a constant in my life and I want to give myself an outlet and not forget that I still live in real life. 

You see, there are so many changes and fun things about to start happening in my life. What better time to start sharing them then now? So stay tuned dudes and dudettes. I hope my blog keeps you excited and coming back for more each week! Flossed and Nailed is all about the good food, house makeovers, and fun times.
